Matthew Alschen is an Associate, Wealth Analyst

Matthew Alschen is an Associate, Wealth Analyst at Round Table Wealth Management. He is responsible for assisting with client operations and supporting other wealth and financial planning analysts. Matt has always had a great passion for financial planning and has worked extensively with underserved communities since 2007.

Matt remains an active member of the Pro Bono Committee of the Financial Planning Association of Metro New York (FPAMNY) and teaches financial education to local organizations that work with low-income and Spanish-speaking New Yorkers. These topics include goalsetting, budgeting, insurance, taxes and investments. He also has been a volunteer tax preparer for the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program and American Association of Retired People (AARP) since 2009.

He attended Rutgers University for his undergraduate degree in Legal Studies. Prior to his career in Financial Planning, he worked as a Quality Assurance Analyst for fixed income trading and market data platforms. Matt completed the Financial Planning certificate courses at Baruch College and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and is also an Enrolled Agent with the IRS since 2013.

In his spare time, Matt can be found cycling, working out or on an international or domestic excursion.
