Event Details

US citizens living in the UK face many obstacles to successfully growing and protecting their wealth.

A major concern for many families is estate planning between the two countries. These cross-border financial planning and international tax issues are complex but do not have to be overwhelming.

This webinar will address common estate planning issues encountered by American citizens living in the UK and provide an overview of several compliant US/UK planning strategies.

Topics:

• Should I have one Will or two?

• What do I need to consider when choosing executors and trustees?

• If I am a US citizen, should I own my UK home outright?

• Can I use US Durable Powers of Attorney and Health and Care Directives in the UK?

• How useful is the US/UK tax treaty?

• What should I do with my US revocable trust?

• When does a long term stay mean I am UK domiciled?
